WHAT EVIDENCE DO YOU HAVE THAT THE WORLD IS FLAT?

ok so i just signed up and while minding my own business, making shit up for my profile some filthy little creep throws a question at me, just when i think i'm done! i'm not falling for that old trick, i thought. no, not this time! alas, my resolve was short-lived and ouija board-like my hands moved about the keyboard and this nonsense came out:

when i was a child, long before you and your sister were born, i set sail upon a clipper ship bound for adventure and feats of daring-do. forty days of storms and travail beset us almost immediately after embarking on our voyage. when a day of calm finally graced our harried ship and her beleaguered crew a shout from the crowsnest alerted us to an object on the horizon. after a few hours of anticipation what appeared was a crude buoy with a hand-lettered sign which read "NO WAKE." crestfallen, we came about and returned to our homeland and never again spoke of what we saw. i then took up cartography and it there that i learned of the geography of this fair earth. what did i just say?
